In some form or fashion pirating music DOES hurt an artist’s pocket. Not just music, but all forms of art. This is like the second little meme thing with Lil Wayne being the patsy or target… Most recording artists, such as Wayne, make money off of touring and merchandise. Not to mention, his first record came out before Napster or maybe even around the same time. 1999 seems about right… 

Point is… Every artist ISN’T Lil Wayne. May it be for negative reasons or for positive reasons, but they AREN’T him. The man who owns Weezy ALSO owns an oil rig… He is a lucrative business man who has to find another way to make money than selling records. He sold a million copies of The Carter 3, first week so even if he only got a percentage of that… Say 1 dollar.. He’d still be a millionaire. A Young Money, Cash Money Millionaire. 

Idk why I’m writing this.. Or why I’m so heated about it. Everyone isn’t Weezy. And pirating music DOES hurt an artist. 

I steal music too… But I realize the cons of doing so. 

Which makes me an idiot, but not an uneducated idiot.
